Healthcare Resolution

Spokane County

Whereas, for many people even today, healthcare is an expensive and unreachable goal and many people have to go to great lengths to keep themselves well and healthy in order to avoid the hospital.
Whereas, going into debt thousands of dollars may be the only answer to save loved ones in need. Those who cannot keep up with the outrageous costs are left feeling helpless, knowing there is nothing they can to help their friends and/or family members.
Whereas, healthcare should be a right and not a privilege for everyone regardless of race, sex, creed, or status, and it is in the governments best interest to keep healthcare obtainable for all.
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that all Americans that fall at or below the poverty line will have access to government funded healthcare.
