Candidate Bio

Dear KYG Party,

I am running for the gubernatorial nomination of the KYG Party for the 2008 Gubernatorial Elections. I live in Island County in the city of Oak Harbor. I’m currently a senior at Oak Harbor High School in addition to being a freshman at the Whidbey Island Campus of Skagit Valley College. I have become interested in running for president through my numerous leadership roles throughout my high school career. In addition, being editor-in-chief of my school’s yearbook has given me the opportunity to strengthen my public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.

Nomination as governor seems to be ideal for my experience and I am confident that I can bring change to the current political scene. I feel that in order to help our economy out of the recession we are heading into, the tax cuts that were implemented in 2001 and 2003 should be extended. I feel strongly that we must increase funding for education if we are to invest in our future generations. I think that we must ratify the Kyoto Protocol to help control our greenhouse gas emissions and lower the severity of climate change. Our nation lacks a healthcare system that works; I feel that we must create a federally implemented universal healthcare system. I think that we should secure our borders, and not offer amnesty to illegal immigrants. I believe that it should be of top priority to find an alternative fuel source to maintain our way of life. I also think that we should increase the number of our national protectors.

Sincerely,
Kyle Renninger
