Economy Resolution

Yakima County

WHEREAS, a study of Yakima County shows good potential for industry to locate due to good climate, good access to metropolitan areas, lower cost of living;
andWHEREAS, Yakima County has a relatively young population;
andWHEREAS, the current economics in Yakima County is vigorous;
andWHEREAS, study shows highly skilled labor is the only thing missing for industrial growth; andWHEREAS, Perry Tech and YVTech are located in the City of Yakima,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the programs at Perry Tech and YVTech must be increased and include a wider choice of technological subjects in order to train the required highly skilled laborers.
