WHEREAS, The people in the state of Washington are having difficulties understanding those people who do not speak English fluently; and

WHEREAS Businesses in other countries are requiring that you can speak the countries acknowledged language fluently; and

WHEREAS, Having one official language would help businesses improve efficiency by making work situations healthier because there is more understanding between those who are involved in the task; and

WHEREAS, With a single language being spoken in the business, there is less spent on paper to print multiple copies in different languages and less spent on translators for those people who do not have a majority in the population; and

WHEREAS, When having one language spoken by the business employees, there is less tension between people, more understanding of the directions given and the workers more agreeable; and

WHEREAS, One official language makes it easier for foreign people who would be a valuable asset to the workforce, to be able to communicate well with their co-workers and their employers; and

WHEREAS, Because those people who cannot speak English with costumers, co-workers, or employers, 30 other states have made laws making English their official language;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
That Washington State should make English the official language in the workforce.
