Environment Resolution

Okanogan County

A resolution expressing Washington State's support for the help in making the environment safe. This includes helping keep the atmosphere clean and healthy and preventing the amount of deer killed on the highways.
WHEREAS, we found out that making solar panels is bad for the environment, even though it saves us energy; and
WHEREAS, cadmium used in some PVC panels is a toxic substance that accumulates I our food chain, however with proper emission control and no coal power electricity, the cadmium emissions can be almost zero; and
WHEREAS, if we install hydro stops people might decide to buy more fuel cell cars; and
WHEREAS, hydro stops would be a lot better for the environment because people would then buy fuel cell cars instead of gasoline cars that pollute our air and destroy our atmosphere; and
WHEREAS, if we award tax credits for having fuel cell cars or wind energy, it would be more persuading for people to utilize them; and
WHEREAS, if people wanted to have fuel cell cars or to install wind energy devises, our environment would also be better and healthier; and
WHEREAS, if we build deer under-passes so that deer can use them, the deer and the highways would be a safer; and
WHEREAS, research shows that the deer would learn where the under-passes are and would use them. However, we would have to prohibit hunting in these areas, but the account of deer killed on the road would be less and there would be fewer accidents. Therefore the deer under-passes would make the environment a better and safer place than before;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, since these issues mentioned above, would help the environment to be safe, healthy, and a better place to live, it should be financially supported by the Washington State Legislature.
