Immigration Resolution

WHEREAS, immigrant workers can serve a purpose in helping our state’s economy; and
WHEREAS, those who hire illegal workers are subject to stiff fines; and
WHEREAS, educating foreign persons in our state has many economic and situational advantages; and
WHEREAS, a vast majority of immigrants have hopes of helping our people not harming our situation; and
WHEREAS, the number of illegal immigrants is increasing rapidly; and
WHEREAS, the process of gaining citizenship is a long and arduous process; and
WHEREAS, short term visas lead to immigrants staying illegally in our country without any prior intention of breaking our laws; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that visas should be granted to immigrants for longer periods of time and be made more easily accessible to help in solving our problems with border security and people being in our state illegally.
