Immigration Resolution

Whereas; America has benefited from and was built upon immigration; and
Whereas; Illegal immigration is rising to at least one half million every year; and
Whereas; Illegal immigrants are competing against rightful and legal American citizens for jobs; andWhereas; Illegal immigrants take money earned from the United States and send it to their native country, therefore taking away from our economy;
andWhereas; Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, therefore, putting a huge strain on healthcare and other public services;
and Whereas; Illegal immigrants are unintentionally encouraged to immigrate illegally due to the benefits, higher wages, and amnesty given by the Americans;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved; That 1) Any person wishing to receive any of the free public services should be required to show proof of citizenship or legal right to be in the United States, 2) Any immigrant not in the United States legally that comes to the attention of the authorities should be reported to the Department of Immigration, 3) Illegal immigrants turned over to the authorities should be given the option of being immediately deported to their homeland or they can serve in the United States military, being paid like other American soldiers, and, after serving for at least 5 years, the American government will grant the immigrants American citizenship if they fulfill all current requirements of becoming a United States citizen.
