Benton-Franklin County

by Rachel H.

WHEREAS, There are many illegal immigrants entering into the United States, including Washington State; and
WHEREAS, The illegal immigrants are being hired into jobs that other U.S citizens could use; and
WHEREAS, There are people who may want the job but they don’t have the transportation and the illegal immigrants have transportation so the immigrants that are here illegally are the ones who are getting hired; and
WHEREAS, The government needs to provide the people who aren’t illegal and who want to get a job, the transportation to get to the business that is hiring or who hired illegal immigrants; and
WHEREAS, In the state of Arizona it is illegal for a business to knowingly hire illegal immigrants; and
WHEREAS, The laws against illegals aren’t being enforced, so we need to start enforcing those laws; and
WHEREAS, Worksource, and employment agency in Washington that screens and refers people to employers, does not have to check on whether an applicant can work legally, and if the employer hires a person and he/she is illegal, the employer is subject to punishment; and
WHEREAS, Worksource should check to see if the person they are referring employers to is illegally here and if the person is illegal then they need to be sent back to where they came from because it is Worksource that is referring those people to the employers and if Worksource is referring those people they should be people who are here legally;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That Washington State should make a law that makes a business provide transportation to move the illegal immigrants they hired, back to were they came from and provide transportation for those people who don’t have transportation and want and job, if the business knowingly hires an illegal immigrant and Washington State needs to enforce the law so it will stop illegal immigrants from coming here and taking from the system.
