Health Care Resolution
Walla Walla County
By, Moises V.
WHEREAS, There are 606,000 people in the state of Washington who don’t have health insurance; and
WHEREAS, Without health care, people who have emergencies are put into stable condition at the expense of the taxpayers, which costs an estimated $848 per uninsured person; and
WHEREAS, This creates an undue burden on the state of Washington; and
WHEREAS, Without the drain on our tax dollars the state of Washington would be able to supplement insurance costs to the uninsured; and
WHEREAS, Uninsured citizens in need of healthcare or life-saving procedures would have access to the help they need; and
WHEREAS, Health care should be accessible and affordable for all Washington citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the state of Washington will provide health insurance for all of its citizens using taxpayer dollars so that there will no longer be unnecessary loss of life and revenue.
