HEALTH CARE RESOLUTION

JEFFERSON COUNTY

WHEREAS, Employers are reluctant to hire new employees because they have to pay for health care insurance; and
WHEREAS, Young single mothers don’t have health insurance because its too expensive; and WHEREAS, Medical research has become so expensive that people can no longer afford medical insurance; and
WHEREAS, We value 100% universal health care access for all citizens in Washington State; and WHEREAS, We believe taxes are the best way to help pay for universal health care;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, 1. That health care insurance should be available regardless of employment; and 2. Children under 18 should have health care provided to them regardless of their parents' job status or income level.
