Election Reform Resolution

WHEREAS, The United States of America is a very large nation, with over 301,139,947 people in it and,
WHEREAS, There are widely varying opinions and ideas of what is right and,
WHEREAS, The Electoral College has been proven to give an inaccurate representation of the people’s opinions and,
WHEREAS, It is possible and has been the case, that the Presidential Electors can give votes that do not represent the views of the people who choose them to cast their electoral votes and, WHEREAS, Parties have and do spend enormous amounts of money that could be put to better use somewhere else and,
WHEREAS, There are many parties that do not have equal opportunity to access the funds to conduct a large scale campaign and,
WHEREAS, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED for the Know Your Government party that the Electoral College for Washington offices should be replaced by a simple, accurate, and fair popular vote where all people’s votes are counted foe there own worth. Also all parties running for Washington should be restricted to a budget of one million dollars for campaigning for any office.
