andWHEREAS, strong communities support healthy families and develop contributing citizens; andWHEREAS, buying imported and non-local goods builds an unhealthy over-reliance on foreign and distant economies;
andWHEREAS, highlighting local goods and making them easier to purchase will encourage citizens to buy local to support their community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the state shall increase tariffs on imported goods to encourage citizens to buy local and sustain local business and jobs.
